Dr. Rafael Grossmann is an explorer, a discoverer of new things, a disruptor in the medical space, and a big believer in technology. Rafael is also the first surgeon to perform a surgery wearing a Google glass. Rafa takes us through his beginnings, his first surgery, why there's hope even in the face of automation. Rafael addresses why being a disruptor does not have to be negative and is essential when it comes to life. He also touches on indigenous people and technology, a critical point.
Technology is a tool that's more helpful than harmful. It's up to how we apply its use; that's the problem. Healthcare should focus more on preventive than cure while embracing technology
Be sure to check out Rafael's Tedx talks and articles on his website while following his social media for more gems

I was lucky to have caught a Forbes article talking about Birthright Africa, as soon as I finished reading it I knew that I wanted to have Walla Elsheihk on the podcast. It did not take long after I reached out that I got feedback. Walla responded, setting up the interview, which unfortunately got postponed due to the lockdown. In the end, everything worked out, and I am glad that I did not listen to my insecurity and reached out. I enjoyed every minute of this recording.
Walla takes us on her journey before arriving in NY and her awakening, resulting in the birth of Birthright Africa. An organization that is about building connectivity, community, and leadership in the African American youth through educating and travel to the continent of Africa. Walla has excelled in the public and private sectors.

For my birthday week, I decided to have one of my cousins as the guest. Jordan Harry is one of my coolest cousins and the most inspiring people that I know. Jordan navigated a speech impediment, being the only black kid in town, an athlete (check out his photos and videos he is a god of beauty), became a memory coach, speed reader, and CEO at a young age. Jordan's Ted talk has over 2 million views on YouTube. Jordan has appeared on the BBC, LBC, Virgin Media amongst other media houses.
This young man continues to grow and makes me proud as he teaches students, corporate leaders, and academia across Europe and North America. It's always fun talking to Jordan, and I would say a lot more. However, I plan on interviewing other cousins who are from different countries, and I don't want them to get envious of the love that I have for Jordan. If you couldn't tell, I love this guy a lot!
Check Jordan Harry out on Instagram @jordannharryy and http://studyfast.uk.

I've known Abdulafees Abdulsalam, aka Afeez, since 2011, when we met in the Kingdom of Bahrain. Afeez stood out from a couple of athletes that I was introduced to while stationed in the Middle East. Afeez life, his experiences are a window into a world that many of us are familiar with but only on the outside as lovers of the beautiful game.
Afeez has played and lived in many countries from West to North Africa, then mostly in the Asian continent. Afeez takes us into culture shocks, surprising encounters, and obstacles that footballers face where there is no union protection along with other barriers that soccer players who aren't from Europe and North America face in their careers.

Carmen Neta is a friend and host of a great podcast that I enjoy listening to The Immigrants Journey, and she has been a supporter since a mutual friend (The Irish Jesus) introduced us. Carmen's story takes us from South America to North America and Europe. Carmen walks us through her experiencing America as an illegal immigrant, adaptation, mental health, food, and podcast advice. It's always a pleasure talking Carmen, who also works on the frontlines while wrapping up her degree in Psychology at Dublin City University.
