EP 9: "Where the King Resides" ft May & Soe

May and Soe take us on a journey to Myanmar, a part of the world that I honestly knew zero about, then over to NYC.
The funny thing is that I have known Soe's cousin for over a decade online (never met her in person), and she introduced me to Soe on his arrival in NYC. Life wouldn't allow us to meet until New York Comic-Con two years ago, and the next time we would meet again was at the studio for this recording.
It was an honor to have May join us in the studio. May and Soe were fantastic. This episode was rich in everything!

We get to meet Amaechi Nwajei, an enlisted officer and shipmate of mine in the United States Navy born in Lagos, Nigeria, who takes us through multiple culture shocks. Amaechi shall educate us on the dynamics of his tribal background in Nigeria, and his childhood. Amaechi was on his way back to his duty station when he stopped by for this interview.

He is now in the logistics space upon the completion of his studies at Columbia University. Asif takes us through his understanding of some life experiences, similarities between cultures in the sub-Indian continent and Ghana/Nigeria, culture shocks, food, and movie + music industry, and many more.

Anton is an educator in New Jersey. He was born in Vigo, Pontevedra, in the Galicia region of Spain. He is married to Josephine, who was born in Hoboken, New Jersey, to a family that's entirely from Molfetta, Italy (about 20 minutes from Bari).
